Using Interactive Devices to Engage Students

This course will not only give teachers hands-on experience to learn how to use the Interactive Display Boards/Devices technology with confidence but also have strategies on how to use them to add learning values in terms of new kind of student engagement and interactive activities which were not available in the past. While teachers enjoy new possibilities, they might also save time and money as well. After this course, teachers will have more strategies to engage their students, group learning activities like problem-solving, critical and creative thinking. 

Course Content

  • Introduction to Technologies hardware involved.
  • Connecting the Technologies involved and learning about the software. 
  • Introduction to the integration of Interactive Digital technologies in classroom learning activities.
  • Understanding and application in one of the key learning areas of their class.

NESA Approved PD Course

Completing “Using Interactive Devices to Engage Students” will contribute 3 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing standard descriptor “3.4.2 Select and/or create and use a range of resources, including ICT, to engage students in their learning” from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Accreditation in NSW
